Callaway’s new Paradym series of drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids hit the market designed to increase ball speeds across the entire product line.

The Paradym Fairway Wood pushes the center of gravity lower in the head to increase launch. They offer golfers more distance from their fairway woods, which is excellent for players struggling to find consistency and accuracy.

Callaway Paradym Fairway Wood Features

Callaway Paradym Fairway Wood features

Cutwave Sole Design

The all-new Cutwave Sole design quickly moves through the turf to impact the golf ball cleanly.

With an increased camber along the club’s leading edge, the new Cutwave Sole design offers crisp contact from any lie or situation, including thick rough.

Tungsten Speed Cartridge

The Tungsten Speed Cartridge, located directly behind the face of the fairway wood, lowers the CG but moves it forward to deliver more power to the golf ball.

Working in concert with its new Batwing Technology, Callaway placed the cartridge directly behind the center of the face, helping golfers get more distance on center strikes.

Adjustable Hosel

For the Paradym series, Callaway has given each the adjustable hosel to raise the loft by two degrees or lower it by one degree from its neutral loft setting.

The sleeve can also encourage a draw or fade shot shape, helping experienced golfers craft the best shot shape for their game.

Variety of Shafts and Grips Options

Regarding shaft options, Callaway offers several worthwhile graphite stock shafts based on your swing speed and preference.

Golfers can choose the Aldila Ascent PL Blue and Project X Hzrdus Silver shafts. The Project X Hzrdus Silver is available in 60 and 70-gram options, while the Aldila model comes in 40 and 50-gram versions.

The Callaway Universal grip is its stock grip.

Our In-Depth Callaway Paradym Fairway Wood Review

Callaway Paradym Fairway Wood and ball

Looks

We’ve certainly let our feelings known in previous reviews about how much we don’t like Callaway golf equipment’s color scheme and color design over the years.

Unfortunately, the tradition continues with the clunky and strange color palette used to decorate the Paradym line of golf clubs.

Much like our cosmetic problems with the Callaway Paradym driver, the fairway wood also features the same design that sees the dark grey face cap smashing into the blue and black speckled crown.

Sound

Callaway has provided golfers with another solid-sounding set of golf clubs with the Paradym fairways. The improved damped vibration helps keep the noise level down on off-center strikes by delivering a clean and pleasing sound on every swing.

Our testers loved the sound level at impact with these woods.

Feel

If you like a firm feel with the power loaded into the face, the Paradym fairway is the club for you.

Even our testers were often floored by how solid these Callaway Paradym fairway woods feel, especially when the ball meets the center of the Artificial Intelligence-designed 455 Face Cup.

Compared to last year’s Rogue ST Max fairway, the Paradym delivers more distance and better responsiveness, helping amateurs reach areas of the course they previously struggled to obtain.

Performance

Great for mid and high handicappers, the Callaway Paradym fairway woods deliver all-around solid performance. Our testing showed significant increases in carry distance, shot speed, and accuracy, and the boost in these helpful categories benefits golfers of all skill levels.

When evaluating performance, the Callaway Paradym fairway woods also offer a clean leading edge, helping you get underneath the golf ball’s lower half to produce an easy launch.

Even when hitting the fairway in less-than-ideal conditions, the smoothness of the club delivered reliable power to our swings.

Specifications

  • Loft: 15-24°
  • Shaft Length: 41.25”-43.25”
  • Head Size: 155cc-185cc
  • Swing Weight: D3

Pros

  • Low CG design boosts launch and extends distance
  • Lightweight feel increases confidence
  • Exceptional distance from the tee box and fairway

Cons

  • Fixed hosel doesn’t provide adjustability

TaylorMade’s new Stealth 2 fairway offers a dependable solution if you want more distance with better consistency. A weapon from the tee box and fairway, it delivers a lightweight feel that delivers outstanding responsiveness.

I enjoyed the Stealth 2’s alignment guide on the crown, offering enough contrast to help you find the center of the face easily and quickly.

The wood also offers a deep, low CG that boosts launch and provides a dependable shot shape you can count upon when facing tight fairways or long entry shots on par 5s.

Compared to the Paradym, the Stealth 2 doesn’t have the adjustability of the Callaway wood, but it does provide a softness and feel that stands out. The Stealth 2’s turf interaction is also smoother than the Paradym’s.

The Stealth 2 is an outstanding fairway wood for golfers that want a fixed hosel with reliable results.

  • Swing Weight: D3

Pros

  • Aerodynamic shape reduces drag for maximum swing speed

Cobra’s outstanding new fairway wood, the Aerojet, offers a sophisticated mixture of distance, accuracy, and adjustability.

The Aerojet’s hosel sleeve offers up to three degrees of loft adjustment, helping you create the ideal spin and launch you need to conquer the course.

When comparing the Paradym and Aerojet, I was immediately struck by the improved feel of the Cobra wood. While the Callaway Club emphasizes power, the Aerojet produces more feel and responsiveness on every swing.

I enjoyed Aerojet’s production from the fairway. After you spend time with this wood, you’ll find it delivers a consistent shot shape from the short grass. The steep landing angle also helps when you need to stick the green from over 200 yards.

Best for mid handicappers, the Aerojet offers outstanding accuracy. Featuring an excellent combination of low and deep CG, it produces a reliable shot shape that can work the ball from side to side.
