With the arrival of 2024 on the calendar, the golfing world turns their attention to the release of new clubs over the next couple months. Callaway got the ball rolling with the announcement of their Smoke Ai driver this week.

Although we know what drivers companies such as TaylorMade, Cobra, and Ping will release, at this time, we don’t know when to expect these exciting new golf clubs.

In the meantime, I put together a helpful first look at the new Callaway Ai Smoke drivers plus all the information we know at this point about the newest 2024 drivers soon to hit shelves.

2024 Callaway Smoke AI Driver and Irons: First Look

Callaway hosted a star-studded event in Los Angeles on January 3rd to launch their new line of Paradym Smoke Ai drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons, plus the introduction of two new top-tier Chrome Tour golf balls.

Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Drivers

The four drivers were the stars of the Ai Smoke release show in Los Angeles. The Paradym Ai Smoke Max, Max Draw, and Max Fast, plus the Triple Diamond driver, cover all swing types and speeds.

Callaway has removed the popular Jailbreak technology featured in last year’s Paradym driver and replaced it with Ai Smart Face technology in these new drivers.

After capturing over 1 million data points from 250,000 real swings from golfers of all handicaps, Callaway created three new AI-designed faces to help amateurs gain more distance from areas beyond the typical sweet spot.

Callaway has created multiple sweet spots along the face using Ai Smart Face technology. Called “micro deflections” by the company, these areas optimize ball launch and reduce spin on off-center strikes.

The company claims golfers can get up to 12 yards of extra distance from strikes off the toe and heel over previous Paradym driver versions.

TaylorMade Qi10 LS Driver

TaylorMade Qi10 LS Driver

Release Date: TBD (Most likely in February 2024)

Another 2024 driver that recently made its way to the USGA Conforming List and on the PGA Tour is the TaylorMade Qi10 LS.

While the name doesn’t roll off the tongue like the Stealth, the Qi10 does offer a new style and form for the long-time equipment manufacturer.

Tiger Woods holsters the Qi10 LS in his bag, and his performance at the Hero World Championship in the Bahamas showed that the new driver carries quite the punch.

We know the LS version of the driver will carry a sliding weight to customize shot shape, plus several other new features to differentiate the golf club from the Stealth model.

While no release date has been set, golfers should expect the Qi10 series to launch in February 2024.

Ping G430 Max 10K Driver

Ping G430 Max 10K Driver

Release Date: February 2024

Ping’s new 10K driver will stay within the G430 family, offering low handicappers another elevated weapon to attack fairways.

Like the Qi10, the G430 Max 10K has recently popped up on the PGA Tour as Ping pros such as Cameron Champ are playing the new driver. In interviews, Champ felt the new 10K driver kept his spin rate consistent, helping him with consistency.

Cobra Darkspeed Driver

Cobra Darkspeed Driver

Release Date: TBD (Most likely in February 2024)

Finally, Cobra’s new Darkspeed driver is certain to turn heads once it’s released sometime in February 2024.

With its debut in Rickie Fowler’s bag back in Las Vegas, the first look opinions on the Darkspeed driver suggest we’re getting another sleek, stylish club that looks similar to past drivers from the company.

As with the G430 Max 10K and TaylorMade Qi10 drivers, Cobra has not yet released a date the Darkspeed will hit shelves.
