Looks
Wilson has given the Dynapower series a familiar black and red color scheme with a charcoal finish. Although it doesn’t have the surface area of the Dynapower drivers or fairway woods, the color design does fit nicely with the other clubs in the Wilson series.
Is there much to get excited over with the Dynapower appearance here? Not really. At first glance, you might think this club is another budget model from Wilson, and that’s a shame because the hybrid delivers a solid performance.
Sound
With the low center of gravity moved forward in this hybrid, the sound produced at impact is deeper and richer than in previous Wilson models.
The hybrids in this series deliver similar sound across the board, no matter the loft, a nice feature if you plan on putting more than one Wilson Dynapower hybrid into the bag.
Feel
The responsiveness and feel provided by the Wilson hybrid grades out as solidly above-average. If you are looking for a mid-tier hybrid that delivers immediate feedback at impact, you’ll be pleased with how the Dynapower hybrid produces on the golf course.
Our testers noted a softness with the hybrid that doesn’t affect distance but definitely enhances the feel and responsiveness. They also noted the variable thickness face helps provide immediate impact as you hit the shot.
Performance
First off, we liked the intangibles of the Dynapower hybrid, including the Hzrdus Smoke Red RDX shaft and Lamkin Crossline 360 grip. The shaft offered a nice combination of feedback and strength.
When gauging forgiveness, our testers hit balls off the toe, and on mis-hits, the variable thickness faces on these hybrids provide excellent redirection of the golf ball. Also, the hybrid delivers exceptional turf interaction to help with producing clean contact.
There’s no adjustable hosel here with these hybrids, and that’s not atypical. Most hybrids don’t offer adjustability, but with a forward center of gravity, the shot shape is intentionally flatter and longer.
For high handicappers, beginners, and even the average golfer, will find the hybrid challenging to hit and won’t deliver consistent results.
Mid and low handicap golfers will enjoy the Dynapower’s low penetrating ball flight producing the low spin that even tour players love.
To produce a high launch with the Wilson Dynapower hybrid, you’ll need to move the ball into a forward address position, and that comes with its risks if you aren’t comfortable pulling off those types of shots.

Callaway’s Paradym hybrid carries the series’ main features, packing quite a punch with an incredibly solid feel at impact. Make no mistake about this hybrid, it’s built like a tank and produces similar power.
My favorite feature of the Paradym continues to be the Jailbreak A.I. technology. By placing an internal titanium frame to stiffen the head, Callaway’s newest hybrid offers maximum swing speed to the golf ball with head-shaking results.
Compared to the Dynapower hybrid, the Paradym model delivers greater ball speed and distance on the Trackman.
On the course, I loved how the Paradym works off the tee box. Providing tighter dispersion than the Dynapower, the Callaway hybrid extends distance and helps you find more fairways when you need accuracy off the tee box.
A dynamic hybrid with jaw-dropping power, the Paradym works well for golfers of any skill level.

The Ping G430 hybrid works extremely well in any course condition. Whether from the fairway, rough, or off the tee box, the club offers high launch with far-reaching distance.
While I’m still not crazy about the color palette of the G430 line, I am gobsmacked with the hybrid’s total performance.
Compared to the Dynapower, the G430 offers more workability and distance, a must for advanced golfers looking to craft their ideal shot shape.
Also, I adored the premium turf interaction delivered by the G430. The sole doesn’t snag or hang as it passes through the impact zone from the short grass, allowing you to return the face to square for maximum results.
Recommended for any golfer wanting a top-tier hybrid, the G430 produces satisfying results for low and mid handicappers wanting more distance, feel, and shot shaping abilities.

Fast ball speeds, slight draw bias, and higher launch are benefits you’ll find with the Dynapower hybrid, and while that’s great, our testers couldn’t help but feel something was missing from this golf club.
Sadly, we didn’t care for the appearance of the Wilson Dynapower hybrid. But those quibbles aside, the Dynapower hybrid has earned a silver medal from Golf Digest for a reason: it produces power with a slice of finesse and accessible workability.
