KEY FEATURES

  • Ideal for low handicappers wanting more driving control
  • Traditional head size allows players to shape shots
  • Two adjustable weights customize shot height
  • Performance golf club increases MOI for better control and workability
  • Low spin off the tee for higher accuracy and more fairways hit

The Cobra King Speedzone Driver offers dynamic shotmaking ability for low handicappers looking to upgrade their clubhead speeds and accuracy. With two interchangable weights located along the sole, players can control the height and arc of their drives with stunning accuracy.

Along with the Speed Chassis that fuels the fast nature of these Speedzone Drivers, Cobra has focused their energy to streamline six different zones along the clubhead to reduce drag and maximize velocity.

The CNC milled sweet spot reduces sidespin, and makes it very forgiving and wonderfully straight with plenty of workability for crafty players.

Out of the two loft options for the Speedzone Driver, the 9-degree option provides low flight, while the 10.5-degree provides mid-range shot height on each drive. Speedzone drivers are fast, and this standard model is no exception, generating speeds that exceed even the F9 Speedback model from previous seasons.

Several shaft options are available with the Speedzone drivers from highly reputable companies such as Aldila, HZRDUS, Tensei, and UST.

Although built for advanced players, weekend warriors on the verge of taking the next step in their game, will find that the Cobra King Speedzone Driver offers accessibility and reliability, along with its phenomenal performance.

Looks

Available in either yellow/black or white/black, the Speedzone Driver is one handsome golf club. Much like the paint job of a race car, the Cobra driver offers a clean look with an excellent color scheme.

At address, the Cobra King Speedzone features offsetting trim with a small center indicator to help your alignment. Two slight indentations along the rear of the crown also gives the club an aerodynamic appearance.

Along the sole, you’ll find two removable weights, along with the patented Cobra Speedzone Drivers stripes and matte black finish.

An underrated aspect of the driver in the looks department is the milled face. Most drivers offer a boring chrome finish, but the Cobra driver’s Infinity Face with the milling and darker shade remains one of the best looking components of the Speedzone.

A gorgeously fun club, the Cobra King Speedzone is highly attractive.

Sound and Feel

An improvement over the previous Cobra driver, the F9 Speedback, the Speedzone driver offers more balance and a lower, deeper CG that delivers a solid, pleasing sound at impact. You won’t hear a ping when you make contact with the golf ball, instead, you’ll find this Cobra driver produces the solid crack that power swinging golfers adore.

As with most first-rate drivers, the Speedzone feels muscular at impact. Partially due to the club’s Speed Chassis and Carbon Fiber crown, the Speedzone offers balanced swing weight for superior feel throughout the swing. The balance you feel remains one of the staples of the Speedzone family of drivers.

Cobra’s intention with the Speedzone was to craft a driver that low handicappers, that enjoy a traditional look and shape, could control and manipulate. With the feedback we experienced on the range and course, we certainly feel like they have succeeded in their overall mission.

Performance

If you are an advanced player, the Speed Zone driver offers an adjustable club head, with the ability to fine tune launch and spin for customized performance. The sleek head delivers workability that produces gorgeous drive after drive from the tee box.

Especially with the low launch 9.5-degree version of the club, you will notice that the ball fires off the face with such velocity. The carbon fiber crown produces the launch and spin that advanced golfers want from their drives.

When it comes to controlling the shape of drives, the player will find that the Cobra King Speedzone Driver really benefits from the CNC Milled Infinity Face. Along with the face, the Titanium T-Bar Speed Chassis also creates the swing speed that increases drive length and improves accuracy.

With muscle and finesse, the Speedzone Drivers do not disappoint, creating the length and control that golfers crave from their advanced drivers.

KEY FEATURES

  • Great for players with handicap from 10-to-25
  • CNC Milled Infinity Face generates staggering ball speeds
  • Oversized profile offers wide sweet spot for better ball striking
  • Incredibly forgiving, the clubhead reduces side spin for more accuracy
  • Mid-to-low spin helps control drives for tighter shot dispersion

The Cobra King Speedzone Xtreme Driver offers plenty of worthwhile benefits and features for mid-to-high handicappers. With one stationary rear weight, this Cobra product offers easy lift on each and every drive for longer carry and more average distance.

Cobra designed this product to be more forgiving, and with the large sweet spot and oversized clubhead, most golfers will not struggle to hit their shots straight down the fairway with reliably tight shot dispersion.

While the Speed Zone Xtreme has three loft options, launch height is not the same with each club. The 9-degree option offers mid-range flight, while the 10.5-and 12-degree drivers offer high launch, great for slow-swing golfers needing more distance and carry.

For tech lovers, Speedzone Drivers come with an embedded grip that works with the Arccos sensor that integrates with their fabulous smartphone app.

Three different lofts, running from 9-to-12 degrees, accompany five shaft options, making the Xtreme versatile and easily customizable to your swing speeds. An outstanding first-rate piece of golfing equipment, drivers like this one stand out among the best due to its solid weight and presence on the course.

Looks

Also available in either a black/white or black/yellow combination, the alternate Cobra model delivers a stunning look with its unreal performance. The rounded head also has a few aero indentations to give the Cobra driver a sleeker, sports-car like appearance.

Unlike the standard model, the Xtreme’s sole only has one weight to anchor the clubhead. The red color weight does a nice job of contrasting well with the trim lines around the Cobra crowns.

Another cool perk that helps the appearance of the club is the ability to add the flashy Project X Hzrdus Smoke shaft or Tensei 65 AV Blue shaft, an option previously found on the F9 Speedback.

When considering how eye-popping the previous Speedback drivers were for Cobra, it should come as no surprise that these Speedzone drivers sparkle under the eye of discerning weekend warriors who want their clubs to match.

Sound and Feel

Cobra’s Speedzone Xtreme flows effortlessly on the tee box. From the takeaway to the downswing, you feel completely in control with exceptional sound and feel when making impact with this Speedzone Driver. The Cobra Xtreme also offers a lighter weight experience with several worthwhile shaft options that can help boost speeds through the impact zone.

Along with the milled area along the sweet spot, the Titanium T-Bar rests at the heart of this model, helping players with feel and reducing any harshness for their ears. When considering how the feel contrasts with overall performance, we trust that you’ll be as pleased as we were during our time with these Cobra King Speedzone drivers.

With the weight of the head, we found that each shot had outstanding velocity coupled with the marvelous feel and response. With the 69 grams of weight moved to the rear of the head, the sound garnered sounds deeper and less thin.

Performance

With game-improvement drivers you want forgiveness and a large sweet spot. The good news is that the Cobra’s Speed Zone Xtreme delivers both with flair and confidence.

Made for mid-range handicappers, this Cobra model offers a 360 Carbon Wrap Crown that generates more velocity to create more distance. The club head has been redesigned with Cobra saving 25 grams of mass to make the club lighter and faster.

The combination of maximum ball speed and lighter weight creates the performance that helps weekend warriors find the next level.

On the course, the Xtreme brings a lot of swagger. During our testing, we noticed that players really enjoyed reaching back and letting drives fly with this model. With the weight low in the rear of the head, the high launch with the 10.5-and 12-degree models extended the carry for longer yardage.

A great tee box club for periodic players, the Xtreme offers smooth swing weight and fabulous muscle.
